Mentoring Connections

Mentoring Connections provides mentoring services to children who have an incarcerated parent. There are over 1,600 Dane County children who have a parent in prison. To sign up a child or get a Volunteer Mentor Application contact Mr. Lynn Miller, (608) 256-0906, or email Lynn for an application or to find out more about the program.

Justice Center in Brattleboro, Vermont invites Returning
Prisoner Simulation participants to pull from the
"illegal activities" by taking a Luck of the Draw card.
 
Madison-area Urban Ministry Staff travel to Vermont to train
the Brattleboro Community Justice Center on how to direct
a Returning Prisoner Simulation.

Formerly, she was a pastoral associate at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago
Under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright.

Enter into a dialogue with us and explore:
" The ways the political system uses theology (faith) and race for its own purposes.
" How life experience and faith influences the ways we interact with the political system.
" An increasing awareness of the realities of racism especially in the areas of economic justice and incarceration.

We celebrate this first in event in partnership with MUM's Annual Meeting:

Tickets for the meal are $15 and available through MUM's office.

Journey Home: Community ReEntry Service Fair

Villager Mall, 2300 S. Park Street, Lower Level, Madison, WI

HOUSING, EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION, SUPPORT AND TREATMENT PROVIDERS,
FAITH COMMUNITIES, LABOR ORGANIZATIONS
, will be in attendance.

Re-Entry service fairs provide information about housing, employment,
support, treatment, and other community resources for formerly incarcerated
men and their families.

The event is free and open to public. Drop In.
The Journey Home provides on-going support for prisoner re-entry.
