Linda Ketcham, Executive Director

Linda Ketcham holds a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice Sciences with a concentration in counseling. She is a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Addiction Counselor with the Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association, Inc. Linda has 25 years of experience in the human service field, including work with incarcerated parents, women experiencing alcohol and other drug addiction, and abused and neglected children. Prior to relocating to Wisconsin, she had 12 years of volunteer experience with the Illinois Department of Corrections and served as a Community Staff person for Central Illinois for Lutheran Social Services Prisoner and Family Ministry. She currently serves on the board of the New Harvest Foundation and is a member of the Board of Deacons with First Congregational United Church of Christ in Madison. She is a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Madison and helped found Family Connections.

Dolores “Jackie” Austin, Program Coordinator

Dolores “Jackie” Austin has been an advocate for prisoners and their families for many years. From 1990 to 1998, she was the President of Wisconsin-CURE (Citizens United for Rehabilitation of Errants). Jackie also is a member of several other organizations working on prison issues, including the American Correctional Association, the Family and Corrections Network, and the Wisconsin Correctional Association. She is a former board member and current member the Wisconsin Coalition Against the Death Penalty. She also is a founding member and board member of the Task Force on Money, Education and Prisons (MEP). Jackie works as a Program Coordinator for the Madison-area Urban Ministry (MUM).
Jackie is a Puerto Rican-American who is a passionate advocate for international human rights.   Jackie’s interest include photography, cinema, and natural history.

Lynn H. Miller, Mentoring Connections

Lynn Miller worked as a policy analyst for the State of WI for over 24 years.  He specializes in systems analysis.  He holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of WI – Madison.  Miller has taught computer skills to many groups of divergent experience.  He is currently attending Madison Area Technical College to further expand his information technology skills.  He has taught the Alpha Series and enjoys camping and bicycling.

Rev. Everett D. Mitchell, Associate Director

Rev. Everett Mitchell has been an advocate for social equity since beginning college.  He has a degree in Mathematics/Religion from Morehouse College with an interest in becoming a math teacher. He also earned his Master of Divinity and Master of Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary. While at Princeton, Everett received the prestigious Princeton Theological Seminary Presidential Fellowship and the Jane E. Swoop Award in Christian Ethics. Since finishing Princeton Theological Seminary in Social Ethics, Everett has been the Executive Director of the Imani Community Center, a non-profit organization, in Trenton, NJ.  Before that he worked as a publishing editor of the Koinonia Journal, which featured the scholarship of Ph.D. students around the country.  He volunteers in prisons, with special interest in working with Chapter 980 Sex Offenders in Mauston, WI. He is involved in a number of civic activities: Big Brothers Big Sisters; Mentoring Connections, 100 Black Men of Madison, 100 Black Men of America; United Way of Dane County; OakHill Prison Mentor; Dane County Jail Mentor; Greater Isthmus Group; and Housing Advocay Team. He is an ordained and has been in the ministry for over 15 years.  

Rev. Lori Powell, Congregation Liaison

Lori Powell received her Master of Divinity from Bethany Seminary, a seminary of the Church of the Brethren - one of the three historic peace churches. Prior to seminary Lori worked with individuals with disabilities, first as a case manager, then a behavior specialist, group home manager, Assistant Director of Residential Services and Director of Residential Services. She served churches in the Chicago area and Columbus, Ohio before relocating to Madison. She is the mother of two boys, both with Down syndrome and on the Autism spectrum.

Barbara McKinney, Circles of Support Coordinator

Barbara McKinney, Coordinates MUM's Circle of Support Program. The program matches a returning prisoner with a group of four to five community volunteers who commit to work with the returnee for a minimum of six months. The Circle of Support volunteers meet weekly with the core member (the returnee) to provide support, reduce isolation, listen, problem solve, serve as role models, and identify resources that help the returnee successfully reintegrate back into their communities. Responsible for recruitment, training and monitoring of volunteers; developing training modules and evaluation tools. Interviewing prospective clients, pre and post-release to develop individualized community re-entry plans. She holds degrees in Special Education, University of Missouri-St. Louis; Masters Degree in Public Policy Analysis and Urban Planning, Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, IL and an MBA from Fontbonne University, St. Louis, MO. Prior to moving to Madison, Barbara was a Senior Retirement Planning Specialist.

Shelia Stubbs, Mentoring Connections Coordinator

Shelia Stubbs is an African-American female elected official for Dane County Board of Supervisor, District 23-South Madison. She is a former State of Wisconsin, Dept. of Corrections, Senior Probation/Parole Agent in the Point of Release Unit, where she supervised high risk offenders released from prison. In this capacity she worked very closely with judges, therapist, AODA Counselors and local law enforcement. She specialized in Mental Health and Domestic Violence cases. As a Former Adjunct Professor at Mount Senario College, Stubbs supervised police officers, detectives, deputies, security officers, and students who wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement. Currently, she is the President of the Bridge/Lake Point Neighborhood Association located on the Southside of Madison. Also, she is the 2nd-Vice President for the NAACP-Madison Branch as well as the 3rd Vice-President for the NAACP-WI State Conference of Branches. She has obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Tougaloo College, located Tougaloo, Mississippi and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Mount Senario College located in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. She has earned a Masters Degree in Science & Management from Cardinal Stritch University located in Milwaukee, WI. She is married to Pastor Godfrey A. Stubbs the Founder/Lecturer of End Time Missionary Baptist Church.
